Kathryn and I flew down to Houston to visit with David for the weekend. His company was having a picnic and baseball game that weekend. We thought that it would be a great opportunity for us to meet a lot of his co-workers. I was hoping that it might open up some avenues for Kathryn and I. I thought it would be great to make friends with other children her own age so that after we moved we might have some play mates.
Instead, it rained that Friday and we headed to the Houston Zoo http://www.houstonzoo.org/ for a family day. Kathryn enjoyed the animals but her MOST FAVORITE attraction was the Carousel! Note that she's on different animals! That's probably only half of the rides she had that day! The Houston Zoo has a great Children's Zoo with a petting farm and playground area. She enjoyed both!
Saturday evening we went to dinner at a restaurant near the hotel. I don't remember what David or I ate for dinner but I can tell from the looks of the crisp white table cloth that Kathryn must have had tomatoes for dinner! She's our tomato eating kid!
Kathryn and I had a return flight to Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday. We left late that morning and I had a her lunch ready for her eat that afternoon. We had a layover in Atlanta, GA. Accidently, she saw the lunch before I was ready for her to eat it. Well, she really likes her veggies and once she saw her favorites she wasn't going to let me put it back in the bag! Here she is playing with her Farm on a String while demonstrating "So big!" and admiring her broccoli!
Thanks so much for visiting and remember to ALWAYS enjoy your own life's wild ride!
